Ateneo De Manila University Scholarship Programs

  1. The Merit Scholarship

The Merit Scholarship is just one of the scholarship programs for the best applicants. This scholarship will be based on their academic performances and leadership roles in their respective senior high schools. The recipients of the said merit scholarship program are recognized as the top 60 applicants which may come from private, public, and science senior high schools locally and abroad. Scholars can select any four or five-year course of their choice among the degree programs offered by the university. Additionally, they are awarded a full tuition and fees grant and a PHP 50, 000 annual allowance. Aside from that, those from outside Metro Manila will receive an additional on-campus dormitory scholarship.

  • The Director’s list Scholarship

One of the Ateneo de Manila University scholarship programs is the Director’s list scholarship. This scholarship grant is awarded to 200 outstanding applicants to the Loyola Schools. Of the thousands who apply to the Loyola Schools of the Ateneo every year, a select few stand out. These students have distinguished themselves academically as well as in co-curricular activities in their respective senior high schools. Being a part of the Director’s List, the awardees shall enjoy an annual PHP 100,000 scholarship grant (or PHP 50,000 per semester) for any undergraduate program of study of his or her choice.

  • The Fr. Thomas B Steinbugler SJ Academic Scholarship

It is a scholarship program given to students who are Valedictorians and Salutatorians of Jesuit High Schools that are accepted to the Loyola Schools. They shall present a certification from the high school principal, and a Valedictorian receives a 100% Tuition and Fees Scholarship, while a Salutatorian receives a 50% Tuition and Fees Scholarship.

  • The Fr. Bienvenido F Nebres SJ Science Academic Scholarship

The Fr. Bienvenido F Nebres SJ Science Academic Scholarship is intended for Valedictorians and Salutatorians of Science high schools that are accepted to the Loyola Schools in any degree program under the School of Science and Engineering. Additionally, upon presentation of a certification from the high school principal, a Valedictorian receives a 100% Tuition and Fees Scholarship, while a Salutatorian receives a 50% Tuition and Fees Scholarship.

  • The Jose P Rizal Academic Scholarship

This Scholarship program is intended for the Valedictorians and Salutatorians students from public high schools who are accepted to the Loyola Schools. They shall present a certification from the high school principal, and a Valedictorian shall receive a 100% fully funded Tuition and Fees Scholarship, while a Salutatorian receives a 50% Tuition and Fees Scholarship.

  • The Magis Scholarship

The Magis Scholarship is the newest and most generous financial aid scholarship offered by the University. The said scholarship grant is an all-expenses-paid scholarship that is designed to help the most financially constrained but deserving students receive a world-class, holistic college education and formation. This program is open to all incoming college students who have demonstrated excellence in academic and non-academic endeavors, and have the potential to become the servant leaders that our future truly needs. This program is the most extensive college scholarship package being offered by Ateneo de Manila which covers the following:

  1. Full tuition and fees throughout college
  2. Monthly food and living allowance
  3. Semestral allowances:
  4. Books and supplies allowance
  5. Miscellaneous expenses allowance
  6. Transportation to and from home province
  7. On-campus accommodation at the University Dorm (if from outside the National Capital Region)
  8. A laptop and a cellphone
  • The Athletic Scholarship 

This scholarship program is intended for student-athletes who have excelled in sports and academics. Students who wish to enter the Loyola Schools are now made possible through an athletic scholarship. They must coordinate with the Ateneo de Manila University Athletics Office if they wish to avail the said scholarship grant. Aside from being financially challenged, student applicants must also have outstanding athletic ability and must be a recipient of awards in their specific sport. Additionally, applicants must also secure the recommendation of the Ateneo coach and program head for their sport.

  • Ateneo de Manila University Government and Private Scholarships

To apply for this scholarship program, applicants are encouraged to take qualifying examinations conducted by various government agencies, private groups, or foundations, particularly, the Science Education Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-SEI), and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Awardees of the above-mentioned agencies may come to the Ateneo de Manila University under such scholarships. Students who qualified for the DOST-SEI Scholarship may enter the Loyola Schools under any of the following programs:
