Security Bank Foundation External Scholarship

Filipino students aiming for a college slot at eight of Manila’s top universities now have a fresh shot at fully funded education. The Security Bank Foundation External Scholarship for 2026 is officially accepting applicants, with support that can reach ₱100,000 a year plus real work experience along the way.

The program targets incoming freshmen bound for partner schools who are pursuing courses tied to banking and finance. Beyond the money, scholars gain a foot in the door at one of the country’s biggest banks.

Benefits

  • State university scholars (UP, PUP, PLM): ₱100,000 yearly stipend, with tuition covered under the Free Tuition Law
  • Private university scholars (Ateneo, DLSU, UST): ₱50,000 yearly stipend, plus tuition and fees up to ₱100,000

Document Requirements

  • Completed online application form
  • Grade 7–12 Transcript of Records showing your General Weighted Average
  • Proof of financial standing: Income Tax Return, Certificate of Indigency, or OFW employment contract
  • Acceptance letter from one of the eight partner schools
  • Applicant’s birth certificate
  • Recent portrait photo

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants for the Security Bank External Scholarship must meet all of the following qualifications:

  • Must be an incoming first-year college student enrolled in one of the program’s 8 partner universities.
  • Continuing college students may also apply, subject to limited slots available at selected partner universities.
  • Must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 93%, or its equivalent.
  • Must have no grade lower than 86% in any subject, or its equivalent.
  • Must have earned at least 90% in relevant high school subjects from Grades 7 to 12 that are aligned with the applicant’s intended college course.
  • Must not be the child of a Security Bank employee.
  • Must not have another family member within the second degree of consanguinity or affinity who is currently a Security Bank scholar.
  • Must not be receiving another scholarship, except for discounts or benefits provided directly by the school.

The 2026 application period has already closed. Applications opened on April 15, 2026, with different submission deadlines depending on the applicant’s school:

  • July 17, 2026 – Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila
  • July 31, 2026 – Ateneo de Manila University, UST, PUP
  • August 9, 2026 – Far Eastern University, UP Diliman
  • August 31, 2026 – De La Salle University
