List of Scholarship Programs at the University of San Jose-Recoletos
1. Scholarships for Honor Graduates of Public and Recognized Private Schools
This quality program is being offered to students who are valedictorians and salutatorians of their batch. Valedictorians of at least 50 students will receive free tuition for the first two semesters. Meanwhile, a salutatorian in a class of at least 40 students will receive a 75% of the regular tuition fees for one semester only.
2. Academic Scholarship for All Colleges Except Law and Graduate Schools
This scholarship program is being offered to incoming first-year college students of the university. The privileges that will be given to students depend on the average they garnered during high school. Furthermore, the student must also pass the required average set by the school to be one of the beneficiaries of the said scholarship.
The student with an average of 1.0- 1.2 with no grade less than 2.0 in any subject in the preceding semester will accept free tuition for one semester only. P.E. and ROTC will not be included in the privileges, provided that the student must be enrolled in at least 15 academic units.
Students who garnered an average of 1.21-1.30 with no grades less than 2.25 in any subject in the preceding semester will accept a 75% discount on tuition fees for one semester only also in this scholarship program P.E and ROTC fees are not included. The student must also be enrolled in at least 15 academic units.
Students with an average of 1.31- 1.40; with no grade lower than 3.0 in any subject in a preceding semester will accept a 50% discount on tuition fees for one semester only also, PE and ROTC fees are not included.
3. College of Law Scholarship Program
This scholarship is being offered to a freshman student of the college of law. The student who graduated from the undergraduate courses Summa or Magna Cum Laude will receive a full scholarship meanwhile students who graduated Cum Laude from their undergraduate school will receive a one-year partial scholarship (50%).
Law students in their second, third, and fourth-year classes will be given a full scholarship based on the record during the previous school year provided and that their average is not less than 1.45
Students with an average of not less than 1.75 in their second, third, and fourth-year classes will be given a 50% scholarship award.
4. Non-Academic Scholarship
This scholarship program is being offered to students who are part of the Varsity team, band members and staffers of the Forward (USJ-R’s official Student Publication), members of dramatic guilds, and members of the Dance Troupe.
5. Athletic Scholarship
This scholarship is discretionary in terms of qualifications and procedures based on the needs and resources of the school.
6. Scholarship for Band Members
Students who desire to be part of the school band and has the desire to study at the University of San Jose Recoletos are granted full scholarship the members can continue to enjoy the privileges given to them and succeeding semester only if they pass all their subjects. Members who do not want to study at USJ-R may recommend one of their relatives for the full scholarship
Note: Members who fail to meet the basic requirements may be granted partial or full scholarships only upon the recommendation of the vice president for student welfare.
7. Scholarship for a Forward Staffer
Students who are part of the school publication will be granted scholarship privileges as their honoraria for service of working hours in the entire planning processing in the circulation of forward issues. The editor-in-chief of the said publication will receive 100% matriculation as well as tuition fees. On the other hand, the associate editor receives a 75 discount on matriculation and as well as tuition fees. The section editor, circulation manager, and other typists will receive 50% of the privileges.
8. Drama Guild Scholarship
The scholarship program is given to students with a special talent in the field of acting dancing singing or playing particular instruments. 9. Scholarship for Dance Troupe members
The scholarship privileges are granted to deserving members of the USJ-R Adelante Dance Troupe. The scholarship is only available to. 10 deserving members of the USJ-R Dance Troupe members every semester to be apportioned according to the determining percentages. The recipient of the scholarship must be a full-time bonafide student of the University of San Jose Recoletos.
10. Scholarship Based on Blood Relations
The scholarship program is afraid to special students with land relations as brothers or sisters who enrolled simultaneously in the University of San Jose Recoletos. The brothers or sisters of two students enrolled in the university will receive 10% of the lower tuition, three students equal 30% of the lower tuition comma for students = 50% of the lord tuition, students equal to 95% of the notation and 6 students equals to 100% of the lower tuition.
11. Government Scholarship
Government-mandated scholarships or fully implemented in the university. Students who have government scholarships are also honored at the university.
