List of Scholarship Programs at the Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA)
1. Academic Scholarship
a. Honor Graduate Entrance Scholarship
This scholarship opportunity is being offered to honor graduate students during their secondary years. This is usually given to the students who graduated as Valedictorians and Salutatorians of their batch.
To apply, they must provide a Certification that indicates the honor they received that is duly signed by their principal and attending registrar of their secondary institution. This may include the graduation program and certificate.
Other scholarship requirements may also include:
- a high school card report card (photocopy only)
- a good moral character certificate
- an Income Tax Return of Parents or Guardian (Photo Copy)
- a photocopy of a birth certificate
- a 1×1 picture with white background
b. Full Scholarship
This is an academic scholarship program given to the enrolled students of the said institution who have a general weighted average of at least 1.25 which is equivalent to 88-90 percent or above. Scholarship benefits and privileges can be enjoyed by qualified student applicants that are officially enrolled in the said institution.
For each department, only one student individual is allowed to apply for the said scholarship program. To qualify, the student applicant must not have any record of offense both in their locality or in the institution. He or she must not also have a grade that is lower than 1.75 or 88-90 percent in any subject area.
c. Partial Scholarship
The partial scholarship program is another academic scholarship program of PhilSCA intended for those students who are high academic achievers and academically versatile and outstanding in different academic subjects without any failing grades.
The student applicant must have a general weighted average of at least 1.75 or 88-90 percent or above in any subject area, provided they don’t have any failing grade in any subject or a grade equivalent to 88-87 percent or 2.0.
Interested applicants must take note that this program is only intended for one beneficiary for each department.
2. Non-Academic Scholarship
a. Athletic Scholarship
An Athletic Scholarship grant is a non-academic scholarship opportunity for the student-athlete who wishes to apply. It is given to the qualified student-athletes of PhilSCA who take part actively in any official sport organization of the institution. The athletic scholarship is open to all the varsity players of the institution which enables them to receive a discount on their school expenses.
b. Cultural and Arts Scholarship
Cultural and arts scholarship is educational support given to cultural and art officials including its active members and its contributors. Qualified applicants have been endorsed by the organization coordinator before they can proceed to the next step of the application.
3. Barangay Scholarship
Barangay Scholarship is a government scholarship fully funded by the local barangay and other local LGUs that provides an educational opportunity for the students who are financially in need that are officially enrolled in the said institution. Interested applicants must submit:
- affidavit of support
- income tax return
- birth certificate of the student applicants
Eligible applicants may apply in their respective barangays which can be facilitated by the institution.
4. Sangguniang Kabataan Scholarship Program
The Sangguniang Kabataan or SK Scholarship Program is a scholarship given to the youth of their respective barangay that is accepted in PhilSCA.
