What is the Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA)?

The Philippine State College of Aeronautics was first established in the Philippines as Basa Air Base Community College (BABCC) on April 1968. Later in January 1977, it became known as the Philippine Air Force College of Aeronautics not until June 1992, when it became the Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA) or the PHILSCA Flying School of today.

Aside from that, PhilSCA has campuses all over the country. Its main campus is situated at Villamor, Pasay City while its other campuses are located at FAV, Lipa, Batangas; BAB Pampanga with an extension campus in Palmayo, Floridablanca; and in MBEAB, Mactan-Cebu with an extension in Medellin, Cebu. Apart from the Flying School program of PhilSCA, they still have a lot to offer. Some of their other program offerings include courses in computer studies, engineering and technology, liberal arts and sciences, and graduate studies in various fields of study.

PhilSCA is a state college, hence, the tuition fee is much lower compared to other colleges and universities. This is the reason why many students choose PhilSCA over other private institutions, colleges, and universities. Aside from that, some aspiring pilots choose to build their career in PhilSCA because it is the only institution in the country that offers further studies like masters and doctorate programs in aeronautical education and management. They also have high passing rates and their students also show great excellence and competence as they ace the licensure examinations of their chosen careers.

If you are dreaming to be part of the aviation industry in the future, it is your chance to enroll in PhilSCA’s Flying School program and make it a reality.
