What Is Emilio Aguinaldo College?
Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) is a private, non-sectarian, coeducational institution located in the heart of Manila, Philippines. It began as a midwifery school in 1957 and has since grown well beyond that single program. Today, EAC offers certificate and diploma courses, as well as undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate programs—all open to both local and foreign students.
EAC operates two campuses, in Manila and Cavite. Their program offerings are largely similar, with the Cavite Campus housing fifteen schools and the Manila Campus fourteen.

EAC is a CHED-recognized institution with several notable accreditations and recognitions. Its MBBS program is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and approved by the Medical Council of India. During its 31st Assembly, the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) named the EAC Manila Campus Top 1 in the college category for having the most accredited programs for five consecutive years, from 2016 to 2020.
The college also ranks 60th in the country and 7,580th worldwide. On top of that, it has passed PAASCU Level II Accreditation, earned recognition from the California Board of Medicine, achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, and is listed with the International Medical Education Directory (IMED), the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), and the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).

The list below details the scholarship programs available, all designed to provide financial assistance, educational support, and incentives—especially for students who need it most.
1. Entrance Scholarship
One of the academic scholarship programs that the said college institution have is the Entrance Scholarship, which is given to academically excellent students who are awarded honors and other academic awards. Those incoming freshmen college students who graduated as Valedictorians or Salutatorians enrolled in EAC are highly encouraged to apply.
The qualified scholarship awardee can acquire a 100% tuition fee discount if they graduated as Valedictorians and a 50% tuition fee discount for those who graduated as Salutatorians. This financial aid will only last for at least one (1) semester. Additionally, eligible applicants must belong to a graduating class that has at least 100 students or above.
Aside from that, he or she must also pass the entrance examination of the Emilio Aguinaldo College and must present a certificate duly signed by the principal, indicating the honor or award that the student received including the total number of its graduating class.
2. College Academic Scholarship
The College Academic Scholarship also belongs to the academic scholarship programs of the said college institution that offers a fifty percent (50%) tuition fee discount for only one (1) school semester to those qualified student applicants. Provided, they must obtain a general weighted average (GWA) of not less than 1.50 and must not have a grade of 2.0 or below. Additionally, they must have a regular unit load of 18 units as prescribed in the course curriculum.
Aside from that, he or she must also pass all the non-academic requirements including the Physical Education subject, NSTP 1 and 2 (CWTS, LTS, ROTC). Students must also have a good moral character without having any record of disciplinary action or offense. Importantly, scholars must only avail of one (1) scholarship at a time.
3. Emilio Aguinaldo College Merit Scholarship Program
The Emilio Aguinaldo College Merit Scholarship Program is a scholarship grant that is usually intended or offered to graduating high school students who obtained at least a general weighted average of 84% and not having a grade of 80% in all subjects in Grade 12. Interested applicants need to submit their application form available at https://www.eac.edu.ph/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Merit-Scholarship-Application-Form.pdf. It is also available at the Emilio Aguinaldo College ASR Office.
Aside from that, they need to submit the following documentary requirements:
- Senior High School report card (photocopy only) with the given general weighted average
- Recommendation letter coming from the principal, teacher, or adviser (Parents, siblings, or relatives are not qualified to pass the recommendation letter for the scholarship applicants because it is not qualified and acceptable)
- Two copies of 2×2 colored ID pictures with white background
- Certificate of good moral character
4. EAC Scholar sa Barangay
Emilio Scholar sa Barangay is a scholarship grant of the Liga ng mga Barangay in partnership with the Emilio Aguinaldo College that will be given to the twelve (12) students in each barangay around Manila. Each scholarship awardee can receive a fifty (50%) discount on the tuition fee of the deserving scholars. Students who are interested to apply on this scholarship program can coordinate with their respective barangays or they can also call them using their hotline number (02) 521-2710.
5. Varsity Scholarship
The varsity scholarship is a scholarship grant given to the recognized student-athlete of the said college institution who have a high performance both in academic and sports. Most particularly, students who have high ability in both genres yet have limited financial resources to sustain their educational needs are the priority to acquire this kind of scholarship grant provided, that they passed the initial tryout facilitated by their coaches in the following sports;
- Chess
- Football
- Badminton
- Basketball
- Athletics
- Volleyball
- Table tennis
- Taekwondo
- Lawn tennis
6. Student Publication Scholarship
MAGDALO or the official student publication of the said college institution offers a scholarship grant for its recognized staff or members. In like manner, all of the members of the said organization have the privilege to acquire a scholarship under the Student Publication Scholarship Program in which the privileges awarded to them are under their respective positions in the publication.
- The Editor in Chief can receive a 100% tuition fee and miscellaneous fee discount.
- The Associate Editor together with Managing Editor can both receive a 100% tuition fee discount only.
- The Section Editors, Chief Layout Artists together with Photojournalists can receive a 75% discount on their tuition fee; and
- 50% tuition fee discount to the Staff Writers, Asst. Photojournalist and Asst. Lay-Out Artist.
7. Student Assistantship Program (SAP)
The said student assistantship program of Emilio Aguinaldo College aims to provide financial assistance to financially unfortunate student individuals who wish to study in the said college school. The students who are eligible for this kind of program will receive an allowance that has around 75% minimum wage in Cavite that will depend on the minimum working hours that the student served every semester and it will be deducted to cover the tuition fee accordingly.
8. Student Assistance Fund for Education Students (SAFE)
The SAFE is a discount privilege given to the bonafide students of the said institutions who rendered 100 hours of service on the campus. Eligible students must be taking up education courses preferably those who are getting a Bachelor of Elem. Education (Gen. education) and Bachelor in Secondary Education. The discount will be based on the hours that the student rendered.
9. Pioneer Discount
This educational discount is a privilege given to the freshmen student applicants of the said college institution who are not enrolled in any school curriculum program. To qualify, the student-applicant must have graduated from any reputable private or public institution with a high school average of at least 85%.
The said program will only cater to the first 20 applicants who enroll in the program and can avail of a 50% discount in his or her first school semester and it will be only extended if the applicants will not shift to other courses and have a general weighted average of 2.0 without having any grade that is lower than 2.5.
10. Non-Academic Scholarships
The Non-Academic Scholarship is an educational scholarship given to the students of Emilio Aguinaldo College with exceptional talents and skills in singing, acting, arts, sports, dancing, and culture that plays a significant role in various technical organizations like the following recognized school groups or organizations;
- EAC Chorale
- Theater Arts
- EAC Dance Troupe
- EAC Brass Band
To qualify for the non-academic scholarship program, students must have active participation in any of the organizations mentioned above. In addition to the requirements and qualifications of each group, students must be recommended by their group coordinators through a letter of recommendation by forwarding it to the scholarship committee through the Student Affairs Director.
