The Iskolar Sang Iloilo Program (ISIP) is a college scholarship from the Iloilo Provincial Government that supports financially challenged but academically strong students in pursuing higher education. Each cycle, 125 scholars are selected, with 25 slots allocated per district across the province. ISIP has been running since 1996, established through Provincial Ordinance No. 20, and it continues to open doors for young Ilonggos who show strong academic promise but need financial support to make college a reality. Benefits
Selected scholars will receive steady financial support throughout their college years:
- Monthly stipend: ₱3,500
- Learning resource assistance: ₱3,000 per semester
- On-the-job training allowance: ₱20 per hour
- Thesis or research assistance: ₱5,000 for graduating students
- Graduation cash incentive: ₱1,000 for all graduates
- Summa Cum Laude incentive: ₱7,000
- Magna Cum Laude incentive: ₱5,000
- Cum Laude incentive: ₱3,000
Document Requirements
Applicants must prepare the following:
- Senior High School Form 138
- Proof of income (any one of the following):
- Certificate of Indigency from the MSWDO
- Latest Income Tax Return
- BIR Certificate of Tax Exemption
- Certificate of Residency from the Barangay Captain
- Valid high school ID with photo and signature
Qualifications
The program is open to incoming first-year college students with a Senior High School General Weighted Average of 90% or higher. The family’s annual gross income must not exceed P180,000.
Applicants must be bona fide residents of Iloilo Province with good moral standing in their community. They must also plan to enroll in a state university or college in Iloilo. Partner schools include UP Visayas, West Visayas State University, ISAT-U, ISUFST, Northern Iloilo State University, and Passi City College.
Procedure How to Apply
- Scan or photograph all required documents and save them as PDF, JPG, or PNG files.
- Open the official online application form.
- Enter your email address and personal details.
- Fill in your educational background, including your GWA, chosen course, and school.
- Provide parent or guardian information and your family’s socio-economic data.
- Upload your documents using the file names shown on the form, such as YourFullName_FORM138.jpeg.
- List two barangay references and two school references, such as an adviser or principal.
- Review your answers, agree to the consent statement, and submit.
