Filipino college students facing tuition worries have a new lifeline. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), in partnership with the Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo Hub (BPeSH), has opened applications for its Educational Assistance Program. The goal is simple: help students stay in school by easing the financial load that so many families carry.
The partnership brings the program into the eGovPH Super App, a one-stop platform built to make government services faster and easier to reach. That means fewer trips, less waiting, and a smoother path to the support students need.
Who Can Apply
The program welcomes college students currently enrolled in any school, college, or university in the Philippines. As long as you are actively studying and can complete the paperwork, you are eligible to apply.
Two Ways to Apply
You can choose the option that fits your situation best.
Walk-in (with appointment): Book a slot through the eGovPH app, then visit the BPeSH office in San Juan City, Metro Manila. Bring your complete documents and show the QR code from the app to the Action Officer. Applying in person lets you get answers on the spot.
Email: If traveling to Metro Manila isn’t practical, send clear scanned copies of your requirements to verna.soriano@pcso.gov.ph. Include a short note explaining why you need help, and use the subject line: PCSO Educational Assistance [Full Name]. PCSO will reply with confirmation and updates on your status.
What You Need to Prepare
Before submitting, gather these documents. Complete requirements give your application the best chance:
- Certified true copy of your Certificate of Enrollment or Registration Form for the current semester
- Photocopy of a valid government-issued ID for both the student and the parent or guardian
- Photocopy of your student ID
- Certified true copy of your Billing Statement or Statement of Account
- Academic transcript or online report card from the previous semester
- Completed PCSO Educational Assistance Application Form with a recent 2×2 ID photo
How Much Support You Can Receive
There’s no fixed grant amount. The final figure depends on your needs, PCSO’s assessment, and available funds. Students who have shared their experiences online report varied results — some received around ₱6,000 credited to their school, while another had tuition up to ₱20,000 covered. Treat these as examples, not guarantees.
When to Apply
Applications are ongoing, and no deadline has been announced. The smart move is to apply as soon as your form and documents are ready. The sooner you submit, the sooner you can move forward with peace of mind.
