CHED Financial Assistance Programs
StuFAPs – Student Financial Assistance Programs
The Student Financial Assistance Programs (StuFAPs) of the Commission on Higher Education are intended for the students to establish and maintain a system of scholarship grants, student loan programs, subsidies, and other incentives which shall be available to deserving students in both public and private institutions, especially the underprivileged. Below are some of the financial assistance that CHED offers to students both in public and private institutions.
Full and Half Merit Scholarships
The Full and Half Merit Scholarships programs under the Student Financial Assistance Programs(StuFAPs) are two of the scholarship programs offered by CHED. The Full and Half Merit Scholarship Program is a State Scholarship Program that is intended for graduating high school students with a general weighted average of at least 90% or its equivalent who must enroll in any recognized priority programs in private HEIs or State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) or Local Universities and Colleges with COPCs.
Tulong Dunong Program (TDP)
The Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) is intended for students with a general weighted average of at least 80% in the first three grading periods of the fourth year. This scholarship program can be availed by persons with disabilities (PWDs), solo parents and their dependents, members of cultural minorities, members of the hili tribe, and senior citizens. Scholars are entitled to receive a Php 15,000 financial assistance every school year.
Study Now Pay Later Program (SNPLP)
The Study Now Pay Later Program is an educational loan intended to provide financial assistance to deserving students who are enrolled or to are enrolled in private HEIs.
UniFAST
Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES)
The Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) is intended for students who are part of households included in the Listahanan 2.0, ranked according to the estimated per capita household income based on submitted documentation of proof of income to be determined by the UniFAST Board. Some of the financial benefits of this scholarship program are allowances for books and other expenses, tuition, and other fees.
Cash Grant to Medical Students Enrolled in State Universities and Colleges (GCMS-SUCs)
The Cash Grant to Medical Students Enrolled in State Universities and Colleges (GCMS-SUCs) is intended to provide tuition fee subsidy to medical students studying in any of the eight (😎 identified State Universities and Colleges (SUCs). Additionally, the student-grantee is entitled to receive ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) tuition fee subsidy based on the actual tuition fee of their respective SUCs. However, the beneficiary must avail of only one government-funded financial assistance program for tuition fees.
