90,000 Public High School Students to Get Free PUPCET, UPCAT Review as AHEAD Launches ReviewLab

Tuition at state universities may be free under Republic Act 10931, but a seat in the classroom still depends on passing the entrance exam. AHEAD Education Group wants to close that gap.

The group behind AHEAD Tutorial and Review has launched ReviewLab, an online review platform for students taking entrance tests at State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), including the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) and the University of the Philippines (UP). It is also offering 90,000 free review slots to public high school students nationwide through its “Lab Kita, Support Kita” campaign and the ReviewLab Scholarship Program.

The reason is simple. Every year, hundreds of thousands of applicants compete for a limited number of slots. Students who can afford paid review classes often start with an advantage.

“Many public high school students have the skill and talent, but they don’t always get the study support they need,” said Rossana Llenado, AHEAD’s founder and chair. She added that the goal is to make sure money or distance never keeps a student from earning a degree.
